We still haven’t got round to seeing THE LEGO MOVIE 2 yet but, thanks to the good people at DK, we have even more to whet the appetite!

They sent us a bundle of their new THE LEGO MOVIE 2 books. Here’s what to expect from them, plus read on for a giveaway you won’t want to miss.

A double-page spread from The Awesomest, Most Amazing, Most Epic Movie Guide In The Universe!

The Awesomest, Most Amazing, Most Epic Movie Guide In The Universe!

Let’s first just take a moment to admire the title of this book. I love it. Onto the contents and it lives up to the name.

It’s packed with facts about the characters, vehicles and events of THE LEGO MOVIE 2.

It also includes images from the film as well as of the new sets and minifigues.

All in all, it’s an awesome, amazing, epic companion to the film.

RRP: £7.99

A detail of a page from The LEGO Movie 2 Ultimate Sticker Collection.

THE LEGO® MOVIE 2™ Ultimate Sticker Collection

Kids love stickers almost as much as they love LEGO so I know this book is going to be a big hit in our house.

It contains over 1,000 reusable stickers as well as informative captions throughout.

Children can use the stickers to fill in gaps on dedicated pages or, of course, to create their own scenes.

Very much like the ethos behind playing with LEGO, in fact.

A double-page spread from The LEGO Movie 2 Emmet To The Rescue.

THE LEGO® MOVIE 2™ Emmet To The Rescue

This book is aimed at DK Reader Level 1 (four and up) and, as the title suggests, recaps Emmet’s adventures as he searches for his missing friends.

Naturally, it uses age-appropriate vocabulary and repetition to build confidence with reading.

I’m a big fan of this format and my older two kids definitely benefitted from reading similar DK books when they were little.

RRP: £4.99

A double-page spread from The LEGO Movie 2 Awesome Heroes.

THE LEGO® MOVIE 2™ Awesome Heroes

This one is for DK Reader Level 2 (six and up) so has an increased vocabulary, but works on the same repetition principles as the previous book.

Anything that encourages literacy skills gets two thumbs up from me.

And, of course, having so many cool characters to read about can only encourage kids to carry on reading.

RRP: £4.99

We haven’t had a chnace to see it yet either unfortunately, but my 5 year old son is desperate for anything even mildly related to it. I do love the look of Rex Dangervest though. The name alone is a winner for me!

  2. Corinne Henson

I quite fancy the future Emmett when he’s unshaven with long hair! Is that a little bit wrong?
