Review: Shirtbox T-shirts

Three T-shirts by Shirtbox.

Disclosure: this is a paid collaboration with Shirtbox.

One of the best things about being my own boss is that I can wear what I like. Jeans and hoodies are the order of the day, along with T-shirts.

That said, a fair few of those in my T-shirt drawer are older than all three of my children. Sad but true!

So, when the people at Shirtbox got in touch to see if I’d be interested in reviewing some of theirs, I jumped at the chance. It didn’t take long for my choices to arrive and I was immediately impressed by their quality.

They’re made of 100% ringspun cotton so they’re both soft and durable. They’re printed with eco-friendly ink too. And, of course, I love the designs.

Speaking of which, here’s what I chose. As it happens, all three are currently available in the Shirtbox three-for-two sale.

I really need to get going with tackling my 40 before 40 list, so I thought an aide-memoire that said landmark age is on the horizon would be a great idea.

Plus the “all genuine parts” subheading acts as a subtle reminder that one of my challenges is to confront my fear of driving and try a lesson.

It’s available in 15 different colours including the grey option you can see here. I’m very happy with it and am making it my unofficial 40 before 40 T-shirt.

Regular readers will know how obsessed I am with a certain zombie comic and TV drama. So I couldn’t resist getting this design inspired by a key location from seasons four and five of the show.

This one is available in 15 colours and I was tempted by the yellow and sky blue ones before going for navy blue.

Plus, of course, the humour behind this T-shirt is deliciously dark!

My final choice is another design to get me out of my comfort zone. I tend to shy away from taking and publishing pictures of myself, but know I ought to balance out all the photos of the kids with the odd one of me.

The slogan on this T-shirt says it all! Again, I love the colour – it’s one of 15 available – and, as you can see, I’ve already put it to use by donning it for a selfie.

On the subject of selfies, the team at Shirtbox will give you a 50% discount on your next purchase if you share a snap of yourself wearing something from their range.

I’m very pleased with all three of my new T-shirts and will be keeping an eye on other Shirtbox designs. All three of the designs above retail at £14.99 but, as I mentioned earlier, are currently available on a three-for-two offer.

Thanks, Nige. Yes, they’re cracking designs and really comfortable too. You’ll be pleased to hear that I’m wearing the one inspired by TWD as I type this!
