#buyabettergift for dad this Father’s Day with Buyagift

A hot air balloon.

How are we in June already? Somehow or other, Father’s Day is just over a fortnight away. Yes, people, this is your 16-day warning!

It’s often said that dads are difficult to buy for. I have to admit that I struggle with ideas for my old man. Similarly, I find it hard to think of things I want.

One such solution is to gift an experience and Buyagift has plenty of them to choose from. As the UK’s largest online gift experience provider, it has everything from relaxing afternoon teas to high adrenalin activities like skydiving.

This year, Buyagift is challenging people to #buyabettergift and Dare Dad to try thrillseeking experiences as Father’s Day Gifts. I think this is a great approach – a fun day out should live long in the memory. So what are the available options?

Driving experiences are always popular and with choices that include supercars, track days and motors from iconic movies, there’s bound to be something suitable if your old man’s a petrolhead.

If he has more of a head for heights, options include flying lessons, parachuting and hot air balloon rides.

Maybe your dad is an adventurer. With experiences that range from bungee jumping and scaling prominent landmarks to riding Segways and powerboats, there are loads of brilliant ideas.

Indeed, having had a look through the Buyagift site, I’ve got a few ideas to put on the ’40 things to do before I’m 40′ list that I’m working on at the moment. Ever since I became aware of zombie survival experiences, they’ve been on my to-do list!

Everybody loves a discount code, so how about 25% off? Simply quote DAREDAD when prompted.

What’s more, I have one Ultimate Adventures Smartbox (worth £159.99) to give away. It offers a choice of over 400 experiences, so there’s sure to be something suitable to dare dad to try!

To be in with a chance of winning, use the Rafflecopter widget below. As always, you can use as many of the entry methods as you like, including sharing what you would dare dad to try. Good luck!

Definitely the skydiving, but I think he’d prefer to do something at a much lower altitude.

  2. Kim Styles

my children would love their dad to try tightrope walking – dad has already declined the dare

  3. Ruth Wollerton

Either the hot balloon ride or the sports car – both are on his bucket list. Thanks xxx

  4. Sarah-Jane Carter

My Dad would love the Five Supercar Thrill with High Speed Passenger Ride as he loves his super cars x

  5. Bonnie King

A driving experience in a super car. I would dare him to do something else but he’s not the overly adventurous type!

  6. Victoria Prince

I’d dare him to try a bungee jump! Somehow I don’t think that’d be his choice though 😉

    1. Victoria Prince

and obviously(!) I was meaning sky diving – I don’t think they offer bungee jumping with this package? I couldn’t find it, anyway!

  7. Kristyn Harris

My Dad would absolutely LOVE to have a go at driving an Audi R8 and Lamborghini Gallardo!

  8. Christopher Read

I think it would be one of the slightly less daredevil things like zookeeper for a day! 🙂 Great comp – thanks fior running this.

  9. Cindy Sutheran

I would love my Dad to have a driving experience. He always used to love messing about in the car and have us kids in stitches. This would be great.

  10. debbie jayne davies

I would love to see my dad doing a helicopter ride but i think at 84 years old afternoon tea would be more his style!

For sure it would have to be the hot air balloon ride as he has always talked about doing this.

  12. Anthea Holloway

Hot Air Ballooning – safer than skydiving and I need him to come back and look after me!

  13. Deborah Clarke

It would have to be the driving experience as he loves his cars. Thanks for the chance to be your lucky winner

  14. Carly Belsey

The daddy in our lives would love to either skydive or drive a fast car. What a great idea for a gift

  15. Tina Cleveland

Just crossing the road is a challenge for him at the moment as he’s been a bit poorly so probably won’t go there
