Here’s your chance to win six tickets to the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final. Arsenal Women will face Chelsea Ladies in what promises to be a keenly fought London derby.
There was plenty of action in yesterday’s semi-finals. Arsenal Women reached the final thanks to a stoppage-time winner against Everton Ladies.
Chelsea Ladies, meanwhile, defeated holders Manchester City Women to keep their hopes of a league, FA Cup and European treble alive.
The fixture will be the fourth consecutive SSE Women’s FA Cup Final to take place at Wembley. Last year’s final saw Manchester City Women thrash Birmingham City Ladies 4-1 in front of a record crowd of over 35,000 fans.
With local pride at stake as well as the famous trophy, this fixture should provide plenty of talking points and possibly another record attendance. It will be a great showcase for women’s football as well as a fantastic family day out.
The SSE Women’s FA Cup competition kicked off in September last year, with over 250 teams competing to be at Wembley. SSE has supported the Women’s FA Cup since 2015 and is proud to be the competition’s first outright sponsor.
It has also done a great deal for the women’s game via its SSE Wildcats initiative which is opening 900 centres to 24,000 girls nationwide.
My two-year-old daughter loves kicking a ball around so I hope that she’ll benefit from these. And, who knows? Maybe she’ll be lining up in the Women’s FA Cup Final one day!
