I’ve come to a realisation of late. I’m too English for my own good at times. I’ve always been an “after you” sort, but have missed out on the last piece of cake in the office more than once and held doors open for countless oblivious people too many times and have therefore decided to be a little more go-getting about things. Not too much, just a little bit.
So, swiftly onto the main point of this mercifully short post, I’m heartily putting myself forward for nomination in this year’s MAD Blog Awards. They’re a fantastic celebration of blogging and I’d love to be rubbing shoulders with friends old and new at the final. There are loads of awesome blogs out there, so I’ve done something a little different. I’ve written a song. I use the term loosely.
Granted, I can’t actually sing, but that never did Bob Dylan any harm and, like the legend also known as Robert Zimmerman, I hope that the words in it take centre stage rather than the dodgy vocals. We’ll see. Anyway, here’s my video and, if you like what you see, I’d be most grateful for your votes in any of the categories you see fit – apart from pregnancy, baby, craft and food, for which I totally don’t qualify!
I’m sorry again for the singing…
